Today we went to town. Gately, Daphne, Maddy and me rode with Tom. We met up with Zander (Caleb’s son).  Gately and Daphne went with Zander to recreate photos that were taken a long time ago. Me, Maddy and Tom went to interview shops on main st. She got a splitting headache and couldn’t do much. I feel so sorry for her. I didn’t need to do anything since I finished interviewing restaurants this morning and got some some fries at the same time. After we met back up with Zander and the girls, we took Daphne to the city park and Gately to the sardine factory and footbridge.  Then we came back to school. Now we are journaling and waiting for Ruth and Jenny to come back.  When they do I think we will show Ruth and Caleb what we came up with for costumes for the film.  I brought a few different things in. We have two intense filming days on the 9th and 10th going from 8:30 to 3:30 well more later.

The stuff that we just did is we talked and we talking about Belfast. We talk about the stories in Belfast. Next Tuesday we are going to the Colonial Theater to watch the movie that we made. And we are going to have food. I can’t wait to eat the food and to watch the movie. And when we go on the big boat we will get to go out in the bay. I feel good that we are doing this. I like to use the camera. I hope that James is going to look out the door of a helicopter. I like James doing the helicopter. I hope James is going to be in a helicopter.

Today we went Downtown to scout out locations and get more info about Belfast! We saw Caleb’s boat, the Train, and one group also went to the Museum. Downtown, we walked around, scoped out the theaters, walked around the docks looking at boats, and interviewed the man in charge of the train. It was very interesting! I liked looking at boats, because I think one of the best things about Belfast is the fact that it’s on the water!!!

We are having two intense filming days on Monday and Tuesday, shots of us at school and giving reports about Belfast. It will probably be about 7 hours on both days. Cool!

Grove Cemetery by Sam

Saturday, May 31st, 2008

Grove Cemetery
The cemetery is located off of Main Street. Despite being a sacred resting-place for those who have passed on,it also provides quiet places to take a walk on well-kept paths and enjoy the exquisite views of cloud formations and sunsets. The cemetery also has some very beautiful pieces of stone sculpture that should be viewed and admired.

Belfast City Park by Sam

Belfast City Park
The park was completed in 1905 providing many people with access to the ocean, picnic tables, horseshoe pits, a bike trail and many sports activities including swimming at the public pool. It’s also a great place to take a nap under the many different species of trees.

Thursday may 29th 2008 day #4of time for Belfast

Today we got little pieces of paper with questions that we need to answer in our reports. Mine said, “Does Belfast have it’s own cuisine?” and “Can you eat healthy on a budget in Belfast?” I think I can find reasonable answers to both these questions. I am optimistic. Then Ruth showed me, Maddison, Liddy, Emma and Decker how to blog. I knew a little, but I learned a lot. Ruth showed us how to upload photos, write pages and a little more stuff. We each have our own pages. You can look at them on the Time for Belfast website (which is where you are if you are reading this) move your mouse over the kids pages and a list will appear, voila!! Mine is Erin’s place. Liddy’s is LC’s corner and Maddison’s is Maddy’s space. Decker’s is Decker’s page. Right now, Caleb’s son is showing the people with Adobe Photoshop some tips. Well, thats it!

Hey, I’m Maddison. This is my blog space in the Time For Belfast movie productions. I am interested in Photography and horseback riding and I love movie making.

Celeb and Ruth have taught me a lot about movie making and the things you need to do on a blog. I hope things I put on my page will help you understand more about Time For Belfast and Belfast in general.
